What to Expect in November

What usually happens. Best way to use this section.


You can catch some summer steelhead when the river levels come up to a reasonable flow (a few hundred cfs). Late in November we should see the first winter-run fish.

The East Fork clears more quickly after a rain than the nearby Kalama. There is a gage for the East Fork, but not for the Kalama. So if we get a deluge, wait for the river to begin to drop before fishing here. A couple of days later the Kalama will be fishable.
