Zebra Trico

Created by Jeff Morgan

HOOK: Dai Riki 310 size 18-22

THREAD: Clear monofilament

BODY: Alternating spinner-style black and white CDC; three sets

  Zebra Trico

Uses

Matches the spinner stage of trico mayflies.

How to Fish

Dress with floatant and use standard dry fly presentations.

Tying Instructions

1. De-barb hook and start thread.

2. Tie on alternating bands of CDC using figure-8 wraps. Try to keep fibers from getting tangled, which would make fly look mottled instead of banded.

3. Whip finish and trim mono thread.

4. Trim wings short and trim stray feathers on top or bottom of fly.
