Happy Halloween………………… Since my kids are too old to bring home candy anymore – (I used to love the “candy check” I preformed as a caring and devoted father) I had to find a new reason to celebrate one of the greatest holidays ever….. And I have one – it’s (go the hell away, Oregon is officially closed now holiday). Or at least one would think so, I mean – For the most part - waters that remain open (at least the moving waters) you can no longer use bait or kill trout and the camp grounds will be closed till memorial day and everything starts to empty and you have usually crowded water to yourself and “Life is good” again starting tomorrow….. It’s a whole new year, and I’m looking forward to it. WOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo HOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo – I’m stoked. It’s a bwo-utiful re-beginning………

I am also very pumped about the prospect of BWO's! Also there alwyas seems to be about a month of Ped's at the turn of the weather.

Yea!! FINALLY! Nov. 1st, Opening Day! Should be a good fall and winter. I look forward to bumping into all of you local delinquents (you know who you are, the "Ususal Suspects" )on the water again this winter.
This is when I start being extra sure to bring a trash bag to clean up after the Pigs of Summer. If you clean up in July, it just gets messed up in a week. I've noticed that does not seem to happen the same way from now till about May.

I opened the season in style today with a 30+ fish outing. Some BWOs around but by in large the fish wanted subsurface patterns. Didn't seem to matter what as long as it was moving fast. Thanks for the tip, Erock!
