Strike out= swingin' without so much as a bug bite.
Bunt= That steelhead that takes the fly when fishing tight to shore while letting line out to get the head out of your spey.
Pop Fly= The boil on a skater with no hookup.
RBI= That steelhead that takes the fly and runs straight towards you and throws the fly at your feet.
Single= That steelhead that takes the fly on your first cast and puts a curse on you for the rest of the day.
Double= Limited out with a couple hatchery "bonks!" for the day.
Triple= Limited out for the day with a rather large run of steelhead that would take a bare hook.
Home Run= One rather large steelhead that takes you into your backing while dancing like Micheal Jackson on the rocks to catch up and land it. ("Beat it"=hatchery, "Man in the Mirror"=chrome native)
Grand slam= That rather large native steelhead that slams your fly on the swing, goes airborne several times, runs you up and down the river, tears into your backing twice, comes close enough to get a good look, then snaps your tip and comes unpinned on that last burst of energy. Then your cussing yourself out on the way back home.."Shock loop idiot!, shock loop.......
