For all you Darksiders out there, I thought I’d have a little fun. How would you score your events during a day of chasing steel to an at bat in baseball?

What does each equal? Is a bunt a strike, hook up, Hatchery fish caught or just played? So fill me in

Strike out=
Bunt=
Pop Fly=
RBI=
Single=
Double=
Triple=
Home Run=
Grand slam=

I'll give this a try as I am a bit bored...

Strike out= skunked
Bunt= tapped
Pop Fly= an aerial long distance release
RBI= whitefish or other less desirable catch
Single= a single steelhead day
Double= a two steel head day
Triple= a three steel head day
Home Run= spooled
Grand slam= a native and hatchery steel head day, you didn't fall down and hurt yourself,or break or lose gear, your fishing buddy bought the beer and the wife is happy you had a good time whenever you get home.

Yawn, I bore me...that was uninspired...Sheesh!...sorry...

Strike out= The MF Clearwater and the MF Ronde being blown out the 2 weeks I had scheduled a kitchen pass.
Bunt= Lunch or an hour or two on the Boise River with diesel steel.
Pop Fly= Solid take from a decent fish but not what you could call a hookup.
RBI= decent fish to the hand.
Single= Solid hookup with some tail dancing.
Double= Two fish to hand
Triple= Two wild fish to hand
Home Run= One magnificent steelhead, ideally to hand but to be honest I would rather lose a magnificent fish than land 10 others.
Grand slam= One magnificent steelhead and having to rinse the saltwater out of your reel afterwards.

You forgot Hit by a pitch

HBP = Thought you had a strike, went to set, and slipped on the rock you were standing on. Did a dance that would make your wife proud. Your left side including your chin gets wet and you are soaked for the rest of the day.

This could also be a walk, because you get a free pass with your buddy to fish the next hole first.

Strike out= swingin' without so much as a bug bite.

Bunt= That steelhead that takes the fly when fishing tight to shore while letting line out to get the head out of your spey.

Pop Fly= The boil on a skater with no hookup.

RBI= That steelhead that takes the fly and runs straight towards you and throws the fly at your feet.

Single= That steelhead that takes the fly on your first cast and puts a curse on you for the rest of the day.

Double= Limited out with a couple hatchery "bonks!" for the day.

Triple= Limited out for the day with a rather large run of steelhead that would take a bare hook.

Home Run= One rather large steelhead that takes you into your backing while dancing like Micheal Jackson on the rocks to catch up and land it. ("Beat it"=hatchery, "Man in the Mirror"=chrome native)

Grand slam= That rather large native steelhead that slams your fly on the swing, goes airborne several times, runs you up and down the river, tears into your backing twice, comes close enough to get a good look, then snaps your tip and comes unpinned on that last burst of energy. Then your cussing yourself out on the way back home.."Shock loop idiot!, shock loop.......
