Bunt=Same as above but had something bump your fly one time during the day and over the cource of the 13 hour day you had convinced yourself it was a actually a steelie sometime before you headed home.

Pop Fly=Hooked a real live steelie on a nymph and indicator but lost it after a short battle.

RBI= Hooked and faught a real steelie on a swung fly that was a approved and certified fly of the Mooky certified and accepted steelhead fly federation.

Single= Any Steelie landed on any fly even non certified Mooky flies.

Double= Any wild Steelhead landed on a Mooky certified fly,Rod ,line and Reel

Triple=Any Steelhead hooked and landed on a Spey rod, swinging fly and floating line.(Wild Fish)

Home Run=Any multi steelie day that included one fish landed in the above manner.(Wild Fish)

Grand slam= A Dry fly hooked and landed Wild Steelie leaving you with a boner you can hang a towell on for 4 days

By “Mooky flies” I assume you are referring to actual flies as opposed to spinners, roe, and spoons? Oops, I slipped up on the lexicon. It’s not roe if you cast it on a fly rod. It’s a "baitfly."

Hit By Pitch = Catching any steelie on a "Spoon Fly"

HBP for RBI = Hooked and faught a real steelie on a swung Spoon fly (or egg pattern/Jig).

You got it wrong - that was a WILD PITCH - I had to dive in to get that sucker (which is what I think it actually was) after you SDR'd him fighting him like a girlie-man. That's why I fell in - ya should dragged that baztard up on the beach instead of letting him beat you up!!

Well way to go boyz, I had a great day chasing steele. Landed one had a few more unbutton at the net (including one big one, the guide got his camera out and didn't for any of my buddies fish) and was able play a few more. I've got a lot to learn about landing the big boy's. I just wanted to know where I stood on my day. I was quite happy with it.

I don't think I'd compare the noble pursuit of chasing the chrome demons to a sport where a bunch of millionaires throw a little round ball around and hit it with a stick. I guess to each his own.

Well, after about 5000 more casts on the Clearwater last weekend with plenty of time to think of all sorts of shiat, I have some more for ya:

Balk: fish all day, then you get zzz....zzzzzzzz, pull back and nothing is there. The coach takes you out of the game.

Bunt: fish all day, feel a tug and its a itty-bitty trout

Foul-tip: fish all day, get a tug, something heavy, heart beats faster....shiat, a yella belly steelhead (sucker)

Foul Ball that whacks a Heckler in 1st Base bleachers: You launch a 120' spey cast that hits the MF-ing jetboat that is going past you a little too close.

Error: Fish all day, get a tug that bout pulls the rod out yer hand and you realize your line is wrapped around your reel (no drag workin') and the steelie went bye-bye
