HOOK: Dai Riki 310 size 20-22

THREAD: Black

WING: White antron combed out and placed to cover the hook shank

TAILS: Two split Microfibbets tied perpendicular to the body

BODY: Black Superfine dubbing. Wrap figure-8 style around the wing

Uses

Matches the spinner stage of trico mayflies.

How to Fish

Dress with floatant and use standard dry fly presentations.

Tying Instructions

1. De-barb hook and start thread.

 
2. Tie on wing at middle of hook shank. Try to sheath the hook shank with the wing material

 
3. Tie on Microfibbets tail. It is tricky to mount them at the right angle so that they are not too close or too spread out.

 
4. Dub a thin body

 
5. Half-hitch to finish (a whip-finish is too tricky on this fly).
