TAIL: Deer hair or guard hairs from a hare's mask. Keep it sparse.

BODY: Olive or dark hare's ear dubbing, muscrat, or mink Super Fine. Keep the body slender, like the natural insect.

Uses

Represents a Callibaetis mayfly nymph.

Variations

Callibaetis go through several hatch cycles during a season, getting smaller with each cycle. In spring, the nymphs are sizes 12-14, but by fall they are mostly size 16.

How to Fish

Use an intermeditate line and a slow retrieve near the surface. Pay particular attention to shallow areas near weed beds.
